In partnership with the Embassy of Cape Verde in Luxembourg we promoted the Business and Cultural Week of Cape Verde in Luxembourg from the 14th to 18th November 2016, presenting various activities related to Cape Verde.
On the first day, 14th November, we had the official opening presented by our president, mrs. Maria Gomes; a welcome message given by our honorable ambassador, mr. Carlos Semedo, telling us about the new cycle of relations between Cape Verde and Luxembourg and the economic diplomacy; mr. Fabio Biolcati explaning how to open a business in Luxembourg, the concept of the 111 Company (1 day, 1 Euro, 1 person) and mrs. Ana Barreiro, our secretary, answering all type of questions.
On the second day, 15th November, we had a special day for the Young Graduates with lectures on business opportunities and presentations of the Committees on the CCLCV.
Our president, mrs. Maria Gomes, gave us a welcome message and presented honorable ambassador, mr. Carlos Semedo, who explained the concept of rethinking the role of diaspora Cape Verde in Cape Verde's economic development process; mrs. Ana Barreiro, our secretary, explaining the Committes on the CCLCV, thematic work committees, education and training, business opportunities between Cape Verde and Luxemboug, sustainable tourism and answering all type of questions.
On the third day, 16th November, we had a special day for Private and Corporate Investors with lectures on business opportunities in Cape Verde.
Our president, mrs Maria Gomes, gave us a welcome message and presented mr. Paul Schonenberg, American Chamber of Commerce Chairman and CEO, and vice president of the CCLCV,who explained the partnership between Amcham Luxembourg and the CCLCV; in sequence we had mrs. Myriam Muller from Swirl Secs explaining about wind energy in Cape Verde; them we had mr. Rafael Cupin from Pets Assistance Company explaining about franchising and mr. Fabio Biolcati from Made in Forest talking about the sustainable economy in Cape Verde.
On the forth day, 17th November, we had a special day for Education with lectures on training for cape verdeans and lusophone citizens in Luxembourg and in their origin country through CCLCV.
Our president, mrs Maria Gomes, gave us a welcome message and presented mrs. Francisca Rocha, vice director of Nord Stad Lycée explaining about school guidance in Luxembourg and cooperation projects with Cape Verde and mr. Pedro Cunha,explaining on how to professionalize an amateur athlete in Luxembourg and in Cape Verde, providing physical and human development opportunities with methodologies, initiative, and professionalism with Luxembourg resources.
On the fifth day, 18th November, closing day of our event, we had a special day for Culture with art exhibition, music and poetry.
Our president, mrs Maria Gomes, gave us a lecture on training for artists in cape verde; in sequence we had some music provided by mr. Jorge Barros, mr. Tchauca, mr. Djoy Dninha and his friends and declamation of poetry by mr Manuel Alberto Centeio and mr. Jorge Soares.
